Connection Before Correction™
Meaningful learning starts with safety and trust.
Connection Before Correction™ is the methodology Miss Selenia developed through years of working with neurodivergent and adaptive swimmers.
Rather than immediately correcting, directing or demanding a skill, she slows down, observes, connects and learns how the swimmer experiences the environment.
The goal is to help the swimmer feel safe in their body, build trust in the instructor and the aquatic environment, and experience the water as supportive rather than threatening.
Once connection and trust are established, instruction has somewhere to land.
